Who knew when I was scribbling journals and poems as a kid, and ideas for books or businesses on the backs of old envelopes as a student that all that scribbling would stand me in good stead to be a ‘content creator’!
Simply, I’m a writer. Some people are talkers.
I prefer the written word.
Over the years I’ve worked with all sorts of organisations in various capacities, from sales or account management to marketing consultancy and lately executive coaching:
Now I work very differently.
I carry a notebook everywhere (I’m old-school) and make a desk at a bar, on a cushion on my knee, even a window ledge. Ideally near water. Over the years I’ve learnt to hone in like a heat-seeking device on key words in any given sector, sniff out stories that create a hook for companies or individuals and learnt the elements of designing websites that invite a click.
I’m still a marketer at heart, even if I prefer it to be about ‘venturing’ and its benefits now.
